Why? Why the Mud Hen?

It's out! We, or rather the Air Force is getting the F-15E Strike Eagle. Why? Why? Why? I was rooting for the Rafale. I wonder what the FWC dudes are thinking now since they'll actually be the ones flying it eventually.

Bugger I was kinda rooting for the rafale as well.. The F-15 is old.. But the plus point is that it has tons of power to spare.. If the avionics are upgraded and a good complement of weapons is provided, it should do fine.. Frankly I quite liked the typhoon.. But oh well haha

I was rooting for the Typhoon originally. But then it got kicked out. So my vote went for the Rafale.

Jeez. It's gonna be noisy around Singapore soon.

Rafale is beautiful, but you must admit that the 15 is seriously still top-of-the-line even when compared against the Rafale and the new planes.  Plus it's damn powerful and is quite a beauty in its own right too!

It's one of my favourite planes—along with the Concorde and SR-71A.

They're calling this one the F-15T. I'm not sure what the "T" designation stands for. I read somewhere that Saudi Arabia already got the "S", so "T" is for Temasek.

Or maybe, "Tok-kong"...

Haha. If your buy one get one free thing is for real, "T" could also mean "Tan-dio".
